Conducting a Strategic Job Search…and Getting Interviews That Others Aren’t

If you’re tired of wasting valuable time answering job ads that don’t get a positive response or hoping to meet someone that may know of a job (that is really not for you)…then this meeting IS for you!  In this session, you will learn how to take a strategic approach to your job search that will lead to meetings with hiring managers…and cut the time spent in searching for a job.

In this practical session, you’ll learn how to plan, implement, and use tools that will result in interviews with potential employers by:

·         Developing your job targets

·         Working from a map of 200 positions

·         Conducting a preliminary target investigation

·         Researching worthwhile targets

·         Getting interviews through one of 4 methods

·         Measuring your results…and changing tactics when warranted

Claudia Sandonato has helped other people her entire career. Most recently, she is working as a Career Transition Coach in conjunction with the Five O’Clock Club, a leading organization in the career coaching field.

She is currently the head of operations for three counties for a government organization that provides training grants and other training opportunities for hundreds of unemployed NJ residents. In the past, she has worked as a career coach with major outplacement firms…Right Management and Lee Hecht Harrison, as well facilitated workshops for the Dover Professional Services Group.

In addition to career coaching, her diversified professional experience includes leadership positions in workplace learning/training, leadership/organizational development, and human resources. Earlier in her career, she was a psychotherapist and employee assistance program counselor.

Her credentials include SPHR (Senior Professional HR) and CPT (Certified Performance Technologist) certifications. She has been the President of both the Greater Detroit and Northern New Jersey chapters of ASTD (American Society of Training and Development). She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan and holds an MSW degree from Washington University.
